  1. Ooh, a Native American Historiography, this is very smart. One way that you could narrow this topic is to pick a specific region/area or one to three tribes and focus on them. Also which perspective are you looking at? Native Americans? Other? It might be interesting to compare and contrast if you find some sources.

  2. What time period are you looking at examining? And is this talking about removal of Native Americans as sanctioned and executed by the government, or just the displacement of Native Americans by settlers and frontiersmen and the climate that made them unwelcome? There are a lot of ways you could go with this and I'd be curious to see how any of them turned out!

    Also, sidenote--let me know if you're having trouble finding secondary sources. My bibliography was on Native American education in reserves and I unearthed a lot of really good Native American academic journals and other perspective sources; I might be able to help point you in the right direction.
